9.6.2014, NIAR – “Roma live in misery in Europe”, claims Amnesty International’s report

Ten of ten Roma live in poverty, and one of five have experienced racial discrimination in EU countries, it is stated in Amnesty International’s report.

Only in France 20.000 Roma live in extreme poverty and their children don’t enjoy social protection. Out of 12 million how much is estimated that there are Roma in EU, majority live in non-civilized conditions and in ghettos and children don’t attend school because they can’t adapt into educational system.

Greece and France are highlighted as countries members with highest number of problematic cases related to Roma.
