“As editor-in-chief of “Journalistic-informative agency of Roma”, I completely support adoption of new Law about work. New Law about work is in the interest of employers and workers, opening of new working places should be result of active policies of employment and not adjusted legal provisions.
With new Law about work is forbidden direct and indirect discrimination of persons who look for job, as well of employees, regardless their gender, language, race, color of skin, age, pregnancy, health condition anent disability, national belonging, religion, marital status, family duties, sex qualification, political or other belief, social origin, financial condition, membership in political organizations, syndicates or some other personal property.
The only ones who are against this new Law about work are some syndical leaders who hide themselves behind interests of workers and actually care only about its position. According to the current Law about work that is in force since 2005, great number of Roma left without work and syndical leaders haven’t done anything to fight for their working places. That’s why the story of syndicate leaders that existing Law about work is good is only the common fraud. State can’t be a hostage of group of syndical leaders who worry only about themselves and not about workers”, states Haliti.
