Roma Education Fund from Budapest is funding the Scholarship program for students and pupils of Roma population, and primary objective is to change the poor statistics according to which there are only 0,3 percent of high-educated Roma in Serbia.
In previous four years that Fund has awarded 238 scholarships for students and pupils in the area of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, with support of 28 mentors and 20 trainers who guided the educational process and trainings to forthcoming graduated students.
This year’s concurs lasts until 2nd June. Funds for scholarships for new pupils are missing. Relevant ministry has announced support for this Project, but it didn’t realize it until now. However, Roma pupils and students can still apply for Roma memorial scholarship until 30th May.
